A small, established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to add a Graduate/Junior Civil Engineer to its growing team in Edinburgh.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and varied project environment. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers across a range of civil engineering projects, gaining exposure to both design and project delivery.

The Role

The successful candidate will support the wider engineering team with civil design and technical work, developing their experience across areas such as infrastructure, drainage, earthworks and site development.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of civil engineering designs and technical drawings.
• Producing and amending drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Supporting earthworks and cut and fill calculations.
• Assisting with drainage and infrastructure design.
• Preparing technical documentation and design information.
• Supporting senior engineers with project delivery.
• Liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary design team.
• Developing your knowledge of relevant design standards and industry practices.

About You

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Some experience or academic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Exposure to Civil 3D.
• An understanding of cut and fill / earthworks.
• An interest in developing a career within civil engineering design.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
