Aztrum is pleased to be partnering with a specialist architectural and property consultancy based in Devon. The practice works nationally on bespoke residential projects, with a particular focus on creating accessible homes for individuals living with disabilities.

As the architectural team continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to join their team and take a leading role across a diverse range of residential projects, including adaptations, refurbishments, extensions and bespoke new-build homes.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Architect role: 

• Lead the design and delivery of bespoke residential and accessible housing projects.
• Take responsibility for projects across multiple RIBA stages, from initial concept through to completion.
• Produce and oversee high-quality architectural and technical drawings.
• Lead planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and technical documentation.
• Develop practical and innovative design solutions tailored to individual client requirements.
• Work closely with clients, families, occupational therapists, contractors and wider project teams.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and project reviews.
• Coordinate consultants and external project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and review specifications, tender packages, reports and construction information.
• Support and mentor junior members of the architectural team.
• Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, within agreed timescales and in line with relevant regulations.

Key Requirements for this Senior Architect role: 

• RIBA Part 3 qualification and ARB registration.
• Significant experience working within a UK architectural practice.
• Strong experience across residential projects, ideally including refurbishment, adaptation or bespoke new-build work.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning requirements.
• Excellent technical design and detailing skills.
• Proficiency in relevant architectural software, ideally AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence working directly with clients and wider project teams.
• A creative and practical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to lead projects independently while working collaboratively with a wider team.
• Full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to the national nature of the projects.
