Town Planner 

Wells (with option for 2 days/week in Exeter)
£40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits + Progression to Share Ownership

We are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected, long-established Chartered Planning and Architectural Practice based in the Southwest. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, design-led planning solutions, this multidisciplinary consultancy continues to experience steady growth and is now seeking an ambitious Town Planner to join their expanding team.

The practice blends expert town planning with creative in-house architectural design, providing clients with a fully integrated service. Their team includes chartered professionals across the RTPI, RIBA, ARB and CIAT, enabling them to offer comprehensive advice across all aspects of planning, architecture, and development.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a collaborative environment, working closely with in-house architects and technologists on a diverse range of projects. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a highly professional team while developing both technical and commercial skills.

Ideal Candidate:

• Have planning experience within a private consultancy (public sector experience also valued)
• Are RTPI Chartered or actively working towards Chartership
• Are team-focused, personable, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary setting
• Bring strong communication skills and a client-led mindset
• Are commercially aware and confident engaging in business development activity, including networking and supporting the company’s online presence
• Are enthusiastic about contributing to the wider strategic growth of the practice

Location:

This role is primarily based in the Wells office, with the option to work up to two days per week from the Exeter office for suitable candidates.
