An established and growing transport planning consultancy is looking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Transport Planner with circa 2–5 years’ experience to join its expanding team. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality transport planning advice across a wide range of development projects, from early feasibility through to planning approval and implementation.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Logistics Plans and related technical documentation.
- Undertaking site appraisals, access feasibility assessments, and supporting masterplanning for development schemes.
- Managing and analysing transport and traffic data, including junction modelling using software such as Junctions 10 (ARCADY/PICADY), LINSIG and TRICS.
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, architects, planning consultants and other stakeholders.
- Assisting with project management responsibilities, including programme coordination and budget monitoring.
- Supporting junior team members and collaborating closely with colleagues.
- Contributing to business development activities, including preparation of fee proposals and attendance at client meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience within a transport planning consultancy environment.
- Experience preparing Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans, Construction Logistics Plans and similar documents.
- Sound understanding of the UK planning and development process.
- Up-to-date knowledge of transport planning policy, guidance and industry trends.
- Experience using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, TRICS, TEMPro, Junctions 10, LINSIG and GIS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
