The client is known for bringing together legal experts from across the country and they’re building a nationwide team with local delivery to champion their colleagues, clients and communities.

We are now supporting their search for a Human Resources Apprentice to support the Human Resources team through the growth of this function. 

The HR Apprentice will support the HR team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business with regard to all HR-related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes input to all HR admin and is an important support role to the business. Effective administrative support is vital to the smooth running of the national department. 

Key Areas:

This job description describes the main responsibilities of the role; however, it is expected that people will undertake any other duties as required commensurate with their skills and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR Business Partners with all elements of HR Administration
  • Pre-employment and new starter processes
  • Maintain all employee records accurately and efficiently
  • Inputting and maintaining data into the HR System including new starters’ details
  • Filing, photocopying, shredding, dealing with the incoming and outgoing post, and other general admin functions
  • Producing letters and other HR related correspondence
  • Support the management of the DBS process including overseeing on a daily basis all DBS applications including ID checks, maintaining the database and dealing with related queries
  • Exit processes and procedures
  • Support with HR elements of acquisitions / TUPE activity

Experience / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C or equivalent 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work alone without constant direction 
  • Excellent eye for detail 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels 
  • Ability to prioritise workload and consistently meet deadlines 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite 
  • Possession of a confident but helpful manner 
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and in all circumstances
