We are working with an established and design-focused architectural practice who are looking to appoint a Design Architect to join their growing studio in Woodstock.
The practice has built a strong reputation for delivering considered, innovative and contextually responsive architecture, with a portfolio spanning bespoke residential properties, new-build homes, developer schemes, conservation and listed buildings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Architect or experienced Part II Architectural Assistant with strong design ability to join a close-knit team and play an active role in developing projects from initial concepts through to planning and delivery.
The Role of an Architect:
- Developing creative and considered architectural designs from initial concept through to planning and technical stages.
- Working across a varied portfolio of residential projects, including bespoke homes, new-build developments, extensions and refurbishments.
- Developing design proposals that respond sensitively to the surrounding context, landscape and existing buildings.
- Producing high-quality architectural drawings, presentations and design information.
- Preparing and developing planning applications and supporting documentation.
- Creating 3D models, visualisations and presentation material to communicate design proposals to clients.
- Working closely with clients to understand their brief and develop creative design solutions.
- Collaborating with the wider architectural and technical team to develop projects through the RIBA stages.
Essential Qualifications needed for this Architect role:
- Qualified Architect or experienced Part II Architectural Assistant.
- Strong architectural design skills with a good eye for proportion, detail and materiality.
- Previous UK architectural practice experience.
- Experience working on residential projects would be advantageous.
- A genuine interest in design-led architecture and creating high-quality buildings.
- Good understanding of the UK planning system and architectural design process.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with 3D modelling and visualisation software.
- Revit/BIM experience would be advantageous.
