Aztrum is delighted to be partnering with a well-established architectural practice in Abingdon that is continuing to grow following a strong pipeline of exciting projects.

My client is looking to welcome an experienced Senior Architect who can take ownership of projects, contribute to design development and support the delivery of schemes across all RIBA stages. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team, working on a varied portfolio of projects while taking the next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Architect role:

• Lead the design and delivery of projects across all RIBA work stages.

• Manage project programmes, deliverables and day-to-day project requirements.

• Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.

• Oversee planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and technical packages.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and wider design teams.

• Attend client meetings, design team meetings and site visits.

• Ensure projects comply with relevant UK Building Regulations, planning requirements and industry standards.

• Develop creative and practical design solutions that meet client expectations.

• Oversee project information and maintain accurate drawing packages.

• Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team where required.

Key Requirements for this Senior Architect role:

• ARB-registered Architect with a recognised UK architectural qualification.

• Previous experience working within a UK architectural practice at a senior level.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

• Proven experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA work stages.

• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and technical design.

• Experience managing project workloads, deadlines and deliverables.

• Strong technical, design and presentation skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience liaising with clients and consultants.

• Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently while contributing to a wider team.

• Well-organised, proactive and confident supporting junior colleagues.
