Are you an experienced Architectural Technician looking to join a forward-thinking practice? My client is seeking a technically focused Architectural Technician to join their growing team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of commercial projects, collaborating with a talented team while delivering high-quality technical solutions across all RIBA stages.
Key Responsibilities for this Architectural Technician role:
- Deliver projects across all RIBA stages with a strong technical focus.
- Produce high-quality technical drawings, detailing and construction information.
- Develop, coordinate and manage Revit models throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants and the wider project team.
- Support the successful delivery of projects through effective planning and organisation.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.
- Ensure projects comply with UK Building Regulations and industry best practice.
- Manage your own workload to meet project deadlines.
- Attend site visits and travel throughout the UK to support project delivery where required.
Requirements for this Architectural Technician role:
- HNC, HND or Degree in Architectural Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience delivering Commercial projects within the UK.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential.
- Experience working within BIM environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing and Building Regulations.
- Good understanding of the UK planning and construction process.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing role.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK when required.
