150 - Service Manager – Supported Accommodation (Ofsted Outcome 1 Regulated)

Role Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Manager to join an Ofsted-regulated, Outcome 1-rated Supported Accommodation service in Wirral

Working closely alongside the Registered Service Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving quality, growth and outcomes — with genuine scope to influence strategic direction and take on your own service as the organisation expands.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the operational leadership of an Ofsted-regulated Supported Accommodation service

  • Driving occupancy growth through relationship building and referral development

  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with Local Authorities, commissioners, social workers and other key stakeholders

  • Supporting quality assurance, compliance, and regulatory requirements

  • Monitoring service performance, outcomes,s and KPI delivery

  • Leading, mentoring and developing staff teams

  • Assisting with referrals, assessments,s and placement matching

  • Contributing to strategic growth plans and wider service development

  • Supporting the mobilisation of new homes, regions and future services

What You'll Need

  • Experience within Supported Accommodation, Children's Residential Care, Leaving Care or a similar sector

  • A solid understanding of Ofsted Supported Accommodation regulations and quality standards

  • An established network of professional contacts within Local Authorities and commissioning teams

  • Strong leadership and people management skills

  • Commercial awareness, with an understanding of the importance of quality and sustainable growth

  • A highly organised, professional and outcome-focused approach

Essential requirements:

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or a genuine willingness to work towards it)

  • Experience supporting service expansion or new service mobilisation

  • Knowledge of regional commissioning and referral pathways

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with young people with complex needs
