You will play a key role in ensuring orders are processed, picked, packed, and dispatched efficiently while supporting the administrative side of the operation.

The Role

This position combines warehouse duties with administration and stock control. You will be responsible for handling goods in and out of the warehouse, maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety, and ensuring system records are kept up to date.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Pick, pack and collate customer orders ready for dispatch
  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift truck and manually when required
  • Check completed orders to ensure quality standards are met before dispatch
  • Deliver products to local customers on occasion using a company van
  • Complete regular stock checks and support stock control activities
  • Maintain equipment and report any faults or issues
  • Uphold high standards of housekeeping across the site
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and promote a positive safety culture
  • Raise quality concerns and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

Administrative Duties

  • Process purchase and sales orders accurately using internal systems
  • Allocate and update orders ready for dispatch
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, both digital and paper-based
  • Use Microsoft Office for data entry, reporting, and communication

Skills & Experience

  • Valid Forklift Truck licence (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence, Category B (essential)
  • Previous warehouse and or administrative experience (Essential)
  • Experience using Sage 200 (desirable)
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach
  • Flexible and willing to support colleagues when required
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical tasks
  • Knowledge of 5S or continuous improvement principles (desirable)
