Location: Bristol

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE

Our client is seeking a Principal Acoustic Consultant to join their team in Bristol, bringing expertise in school and educational projects. This specialist consultancy provides acoustic consulting services for a variety of sectors, including education, healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Their team of experts is dedicated to delivering innovative acoustic solutions that enhance user experiences, ensure compliance, and promote well-being.

Notable Projects: They have successfully completed numerous high-profile projects, including:

  • Acoustic design for the refurbishment of a major University in London, aligning with stringent acoustic requirements.
  • Providing consulting services for several Colleges to enhance the learning environment through optimised acoustic solutions.
  • Extensive involvement in the design and construction of airport, industrial, sports facilities & arts centres across the UK, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of acoustic performance.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional acoustic solutions for our school and education projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with BB93: Acoustic Design of Schools – Performance Standards, as well as the relevant British Standards for acoustic performance in educational settings. You will work closely with our clients, design teams, and project stakeholders to develop and implement tailored acoustic strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in acoustic consulting, specifically with school and educational projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of BB93 and other relevant British Standards.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Degree in Acoustics, Sound Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
