A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join its team, with options to be based in London, Chichester or Kent.
The consultancy delivers building services engineering solutions across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare and leisure, working on projects from concept through to completion.
The Role
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative mechanical engineering team, contributing to the design and delivery of building services across a varied project portfolio. Responsibilities include:
- Designing mechanical building services systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning and public health
- Producing technical calculations, specifications and reports
- Developing designs using relevant modelling and CAD software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD)
- Carrying out site visits, surveys and inspections
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and other members of the design team
- Ensuring designs comply with current building regulations and industry standards
- Supporting more junior members of the team as required
About You
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working within a building services or MEP consultancy
- Working knowledge of HVAC and public health design
- Ideal experience within sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare and industrial
- Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Working toward or holding professional membership (e.g. CIBSE) is desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
