An established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join its experienced Transport Planning and Engineering team in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a transport planning professional to work on a wide range of private sector development projects within a collaborative and technically strong environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans in support of planning applications for private sector clients.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Providing professional advice on highway and transport planning matters, including access strategies and feasibility studies, in line with current policy and guidance
• Preparing preliminary horizontal designs for site access junctions and highway improvement works for highway authority approval
• Delivering work to a high technical standard within agreed timescales
• Working independently while also supporting and mentoring other team members
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, design teams, multidisciplinary consultants and highway authorities

Experience

• Proven experience in Transport Planning is essential
• Experience using TRICS and junction modelling software is required
• Experience with LinSig, GIS, AutoCAD, AutoTrack, PDS Sign/Line or similar software is advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Working Arrangements & Benefits

• Minimum of 37.5 hours per week
• Core hours: 9am–4pm, Monday to Friday
