About the Role

The Restoration General Laborer assists restoration crews with general labor, water/fire cleanup, equipment setup, material handling, and site prep on disaster recovery jobsites. Located on the West Side of Indianapolis, IN, this role provides essential labor support during emergency mitigation and recovery efforts.

What You'll Do

• Stage, unload, and set up restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers).

• Move, carry, and protect contents and furniture from damaged areas.

• Perform basic cleaning, water extraction assistance, and debris removal.

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsite work areas.

• Assist lead technicians with site preparation, containment setup, and teardown.

• Follow safety guidelines, client protocols, and PPE rules at all times.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Prior physical labor experience in general labor, construction, landscaping, or restoration.

• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks including heavy lifting.

• Reliable transportation to report to jobsites on the West Side of Indianapolis, IN.

• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in water mitigation, fire cleanup, or residential restoration.

• Familiarity with basic hand tools and safety procedures.

Certifications

• Required: Basic safety orientation.

• Preferred / Client-Specific: OSHA 10 or First Aid/CPR (pending confirmation).

Working Conditions

Work environments include water/fire-damaged properties, active job sites, residential and commercial buildings, with variable weather exposure. Physical requirements include lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, climbing stairs. Hazards include wet surfaces, dust, debris, odors, and variable temperatures. Full safety PPE required.
