You’ll be office-based in Manchester, focused on identifying and developing new business opportunities, speaking to SMEs about their funding needs, and building long-term commercial relationships. This role suits someone confident on the phone, commercially minded, and motivated by results.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for driving new business by introducing finance solutions to UK SMEs. This includes engaging decision-makers, understanding funding requirements, and positioning invoice finance products as effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls and lead follow-up
  • Speak with business owners and finance directors about cashflow and funding needs
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent activity
  • Develop long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals
  • Manage the full sales process from initial contact to deal completion
  • Accurately update CRM systems with activity, notes, and pipeline progress
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients
  • Stay informed on market trends within SME and business finance

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or telesales
  • Invoice finance experience desirable, but not essential
  • Experience selling financial products, funding solutions, or finance-related services highly advantageous
  • Confident communicator with strong objection-handling skills
  • Target-driven mindset with a proactive, resilient approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based sales environment
  • Strong organisation skills with CRM and Microsoft Office experience
