Acoustic Consultant (Junior – Consultant Level)
Location: London | Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 DOE + Benefits

Aztrum is working on behalf of a forward-thinking and well-respected environmental consultancy looking to expand its London-based team with the appointment of a Junior to Consultant-level Acoustic Consultant. The Role

As an Acoustic Consultant, you’ll contribute to the delivery of environmental noise and vibration assessments for a variety of planning and infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to support technically sound and commercially aware solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting environmental noise and vibration assessments

  • Carrying out site measurements and baseline monitoring

  • Using acoustic modelling tools such as CadnaA and ODEON

  • Assisting in the preparation of planning reports and Environmental Statement chapters

  • Contributing to noise mitigation strategies in collaboration with clients and design teams

  • Engaging in professional development and learning across the wider environmental disciplines

Candidate Requirements

We’re looking for a motivated and technically capable individual who is looking to grow within a supportive, ambitious team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

  • Around 1–3 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy (graduate experience considered)

  • Familiarity with acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA, ODEON, or SoundPLAN

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • An analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail

  • A full UK driving licence (or working toward one) and willingness to travel for site work
