Transport Planner

An established and well-regarded transport planning and engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join its growing Midlands team in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of private-sector development projects within a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.

The Role

• Prepare Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
• Support the delivery of highways and transport planning advice, including access strategies and feasibility studies
• Assist with the production of preliminary junction layouts and highway designs for submission to local authorities
• Deliver high-quality work to agreed timescales with appropriate guidance
• Work closely with colleagues across project teams
• Build effective working relationships with clients, design teams and highway authorities

About You

• Experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Confident using TRICS and junction modelling software
• Exposure to LinSig, GIS, AutoCAD, AutoTrack or similar software would be advantageous
• Able to manage multiple tasks with good attention to detail
• Clear communicator with a proactive and positive approach
