Mechanical Engineer/Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services
Fully Remote (UK-based candidates only) 

£50,000 – £60,000

A well-established building services consultancy, offering a steady and consistent workflow, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a fully remote basis. Ideally, they're looking for someone at Senior level, though a strong candidate on the step up to Senior will also be considered. Right attitude matters just as much as experience here.

The Role
This role is centred on design and build work for contractors, so previous experience working for or alongside a big contractor is ideal. The successful candidate will need the confidence to lead on mechanical design, working closely with contractors and project teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Producing mechanical design solutions for design and build contractor projects
• Leading on design decisions with the confidence to see them through
• Preparing calculations, specifications, and drawings in line with current regulations and best practice
• Liaising with contractors and other stakeholders throughout the design process
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion

What They're Looking For

• HNC or degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer, ideally gained working for a big contractor
• Confidence to take ownership of mechanical design
• The right attitude — someone reliable, proactive, and easy to work with
• Must be based in the UK
